The Cumann na mBunscol finals took place last Saturday, the 11th of June in Markievicz Park. Our club is extremely proud of all 3 schools of the parish for making it through to the 2016 finals. Congratulations to Drimina boys who overcame Bunninadden and Drimina girls who over came Owenbeg in their respective finals in the 3 teacher competition. It was a local derby between Castlerock and Banada girls in the 2 teacher competition in which Castlerock won an evenly contested match. Hard luck to Banada boys who lost to Carns NS. Congratulations to Castlerock NS Captain, Katie O'Hara who played in Hyde Park at half time of the Connacht Championship Semi Final.

Our Senior Men scored a great win over Aghamore in the Leo Kenny Cup on Tuesday last. The final score was 4-7 to 1-6. The team take on Charlestown this Tuesday the 14th of June at 7.30 in Fr. O'Hara Park, Charlestown in the Quarter Final of the weekend. The team host Coolera/Strandhill in round 8 of the Division 1 league on Saturday at 6pm.

Well done to our Senior Hurlers who had a 0-16 to 1-08 win over St Mary's, Carrick on Shannon in round 1 of Leitrim/Longford League. The team play Manorhamilton in the same competition this Wednesday at 8pm in Carrick. The team have a second game this week with their 3rd round of the Dermot Molloy League on Sunday morning when they host Castlebar Mitchells.

Sunday was another proud day for the club as we are represented by 9 players representing the club at county level.
