Our Senior men's team continued their winning form in the Division 1 league with a good win over Coolera/Strandhill on Sunday morning last in Tourlestrane. The team got off to a great start with a goal blitz and led on the half time whistle on a score of 4-4 to 0-4. The team continued into the second half with a strong performance and finished off the game 4-14 to 2-6. The team will be looking to make it 3/3 when they play St. John's this Saturday at 6.30pm in Tourlestrane. The Senior Championship draw took place on Sunday last and placed Tourlestrane in Group C along with Ballymote and Coolera/Strandhill. Our Senior Men will play Ballymote in the first round, followed by a bye in round 2 and in round 3 the team will take on Coolera/Strandhill in their hunt for the Owen B Cup.

The Division 3 team played Bunninadden in a curtain raiser to the game but found it difficult to deal with the goals scored by a stronger team. The team will be hoping to improve their game as they take on Coolera/Strandhill on Sunday at 2pm.

Well done to Adrian McIntyre and the rest of the Sligo Senior Team and management on their 1-12 to 0-11 point win over Wicklow at the weekend. The team retain their Division 3 status in the Allianz league.

Gavighan, Oisin Kennedy, Niall Brennan, JP Lang, selector Gary Gaughan and the rest of the St. Attracta's team and management on winning the All Ireland Senior B Schools final against Our Lady's, Templemore, on Saturday last on a score line of 4-11 to 1-7. The boys will return to action this week in the green and gold when the Minor boys team take on Owenmore Gaels in round 3 of the league on Tuesday.

The U-16 boys suffered a defeat at the hands of Shamrock Gaels on Friday last. The team were unlucky to concede 3 goals which made the difference at the final whistle  Full time score  3-11 to 1-11. It was a promising performance and the team will continue to build on this when they take on Easkey on Friday at 7pm in Tourlestrane and Calry St. Josephs on Tuesday the 15th of April. Fridays game with Easkey could be postponed due to St. Attracta's involvement in the Connaght A Juvenile final.

Best wishes to Liam Gaughan, Rian Kennedy, Ciaran Walsh, Daniel Clark, Darren Leonard, Martin Carr, Richie Lang and the rest of the St. Attracta's Juvenile team and management in the Connaght A Schools final. The team take on St. Jarlath's College, Tuam, in the decider on Friday in Claremorris at 12.30pm.

The Senior ladies are due to start the league this weekend. Hard luck to Tracey, Claire and the rest of the Sligo Ladies team and management on missing out on a Semi final spot in the National League. The team lost 1-17 to 0-10 to a stronger Tipperary team.

Well done to Meave Normanly, Molly Kennedy and the rest of the Sligo U14 girls team on their victory over Leitrim on Saturday evening last. The final score was 10-7 to 2-3.  We wish the two young stars of the club the best with their forthcoming season with the County team.

The U-8s and U-10s are back outside with training on Wednesday evenings at 7pm in the Main Pitch, Games take place every second Wednesday from next week, the 10th of April, when they are at home to Tubbercurry in both U-8 and U-10 games. These games mark the first outing of the season. Both game will take place at the same time. A great number has turned out agai this year following indoor coaching in Banada Abbey Hall and all children boys and girls are welcome from the age of 6. Thank you to the parents of the children for making such a huge effort with the youth of the club. For further information do not hesitate to contact any of the coaches, Fintan Kennedy, David Surlis, Kevin Harrington, Niall Surlis or Ian Kennedy.

On the back of an excellent 6-3 to 1-9 win over Coolera/Strandhill, our U-16 hurlers take on Easkey/St. Farnan's away this Wednesday at 6.30pm.

The 2013 South Sligo Walking Festival takes place over the May Bank Holiday, 4th to the 6th of May 2013. Every year there are new walks added to the festival and it its hoped that the gathering of hill walkers will continue to grow this year.

Thank you to all who attended yet another successful Teenage Disco on Friday last. Thank you to all volunteers for their continued work and support of the discos.
