Club Notes: 5th March 2012

The Senior Men recorded their third win in the Kiernan Cup with a
great team performance over neighbours Curry at the weekend. The final
score line was 3-14 to 1-6. Scores came from the feet of Gerry Mc
Gowan 1-6, John Quinn 1-1, Alan Dunne 0-2, Gary Gaughan 0-2, Barry
Kirrane 1-0, Diarmuid Dunne, Brain Egan and Andrew Kennendy 0-1
each,.The team now advance to the semi final in a bid to retain the
Kiernan Cup title. Thanks to the supporters who turned out to cheer on
our team. Training continues on Tuesdays and Thursdays for all members
of the senior men's panel. The first round of the senior mens football
league will take place this weekend, Saturday the 10th of March with
an away tie with St. Farnans at 5pm.

The club would like to send get well wishes to our senior player Brian
Kennedy who suffered a dislocated shoulder while playing for Sligo
against Cavan at the weekend. Also get well wishes to Brendan Egan who
suffered a head inury and required a number of stitches. Get well
wishes to our former manager, Anthony Brennan after a recent spell in

There was also a good turn out at the senior and minor ladies training
on Saturday last. Training contiues for Senior and Minor Ladies this
Saturday the 10th of March at
10am in Banada Hall. New faces always welcome.

The club will be cracking down on jersey lifters as unfortunately it
has become a huge problem within the club over the past few years. An
audit is been carried out at present of all team jerseys, a number of
jerseys are missing and we would ask if anyone has a jersey belonging
to club to please return to Therese Walsh or any club executive.

Good luck to St, Attracta's CS senior boys team in the colleges final
on Saturday when they take on Rice College, Westport in Claremorris.
The club is well represented with a number of our minors involved in
the team and we wish them all the very best. Our first minor boys
league match will now take place on the 18th of March due to the
number of players involved with the school game this weekend.

U-12, U-14 and U-16 girls gaelic training continues at 7pm in Banada
Hall every Thursday evening.

Big money waiting to be won every Tuesday night in Banada Abbey Hall.
Bingo from 8.30pm with a minimum payout each night of €2,000.
