Notes :
It was a winning weekend for the senior men and ladies this weekend with mighty performances put in by especially the younger crew on both panels . On Saturday evening a depleted panel available to Eamonn Gerry and Michael saw the younger panellists aided by the available experienced more senior lads put on a fine display of footballing skills to finish with a strong win over Eastern Harps and the scoreline at the full time whistle was 1/16 to 7 points . Sunday morning the girls headed to Bunninadden to take on St Nathy's senior ladies and with a slim 2 point lead at half time thanks to a fine taken  goal by Grainne Carty and both teams digging deep not wishing to forfeit the win, the second half in particular was a very pacy game . A cracking looping pass from out the field to the back post for the quick thinking Laura Surlis to run on and flick the ball past the keeper and into the net for our second goal of the day was the game clincher and we kept the safe lead to the whistle! The never say die attitude of team really paid off!  Well done to David Shauna and the girls. A speedy recovery is wished to Ellen Bailey who picked up a shoulder injury. Our minor lads played two games this weekend having had games postponed previously and were beaten by a strong St Molaise Gaels team in Grange on Friday . Sunday they played Ballymote/Bunninadden at the pitch and after trailing far behind at half time put on a valiant effort and with minutes to go caught up to just 4 points behind on a scoreline of 3/10 to 2/9 but the visitors finished well with a final goal before the end whistle to finish 4/10 to 2/9. Unlucky lads .
Our u14 girls had a great win Tuesday at home to St Molaise Gaels in their league game on a scoreline of Tourlesteane 5-8
St Molaise Gaels: 1-3
Our u12 boys were unlucky and lost out to a stronger Enniscrone /Kilglass team tonight.
Our future stars the u8s and u10s were in action in Castleconnor on Wednesday and well done to all !
