Notes :
Our Junior men had a comprehensive win this afternoon in Shamrock Gaels on an impressive scoreline of  2/5 to 8/11 where we saw an excellent performance from all the lads and a great team effort  with a very small panel available ! Shout out to Johnathan O Hara who scored a hat trick and to keeper Adam Broe who denied the hosts more goal chances . Also great to have Anthony Mulholland on the panel for his first game of the season this afternoon ! Well done to all. Yesterday evening the senior squad headed to Oxfield to face Drumcliff/Rosses Point under the shadow of the majestic Ben Bulben and suffice to say they got out of jail a few minutes into extra time where John Kelly kicked an equalising free  which left the two teams at level 15 points DRP to Tourlestranes 2/9, the 2 goals coming from Gary Gaughan in the first half and Oisin Kennedy in the second. Both teams on the night had many missed chances including a penalty having been awarded to Tourlestrane not converted, the game nearly slipped away from both teams so in the end as they say a draw was the best result for both.
In other under age games this week our u12 Hurlers had a mighty win over Western Gaels 14 points to 2 as did our u14 footballers who sailed home with a great win and a high scoring game away to St Pats 8/11 to 2/3.
Our u16 girls were not so lucky away to Calry on Wednesday evening and were behind by a lot of scores at the final whistle .
Congratulations to club man Cathal Henry who made GAA team of the week for his performance in London for Sligo last weekend .
Well done to all who participated in any way be it walking or organising another successful Darkness into Light walk at 4:15 am Saturday morning around the beautiful candle lit roads of Banada across Gortermone Creesuane and through the back avenue of Banada convent again spreading the word of HOPE to those in Darkness and suffering mental torture at the same time remembering lost loved ones .
