Tourlestrane Gaa express their deepest sympathies to the Davey & Marren families on the tragic passing of Mairead who was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, relative and dear friend to many. Mairead brought joy to everyone who had the pleasure to know her and a light has gone out in the community.
We also extend our sympathies to the family of Mary Kate Walshe, Banada who passed away peacefully during the week surrounded by her loving family . Mary Kate was the mother of former Tourlestrane club officer Austin Walshe.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh siad.

Our u16 girls played a fantastic hour of football in Collooney this afternoon and claimed an A County Chanpionship when they beat St Mary's girls by a goal at the full time whistle ! Well done to the team with Anthony Brennan and Maureen Walsh at the helm on a great season which paid off splendidly today when you claimed the sought after prize.
Our Senior men were in Markievicz Park with the same kick off time this afternoon where they faced a hard working Tubbercurry team in the SFC semi final . The end result with the team swapping leads in the dying few minutes of a less exciting game than the one in collooney,  saw the teams level at the final whistle with a score line of 1/11 apiece and we face another meeting TBC. Some would say a lucky outcome for both teams !
Our Junior men played Curry Sunday morning in Bunninadden in the junior Quarter final and this time saw Tourlestrane come out on top with a win by 2/9 to 8 points. Onwards to the semi final next weekend .
Hard luck to our u16 boys who never gave up but were beaten by a stronger St Mary's team this afternoon in their B County Final in Scardan having had a strong win last Tuesday night against Shamrock Gaels . Congratulations to St Mary's county champions.
Commiserations also to our Feile boys beaten by a stronger Enniscrone/Kilglass team last Thursday .
The club are having a Golden Jubilee celebration of the Tourlestrane Minor county champion winning teams of 1967 and 1968 next weekend October 14thin The Yeats Hotel in Curry and it promises to be a great night of reminiscing !
