Best of luck to our Intermediate ladies who face Carly at the pitch at 10 this morning and to our Senior lads who travel to Keash at 2 to take on eastern Harps.
Our u14 hurlers play the Feile Hurling blitz today in Scardan kick off at 11.20 so best of luck to the lads
Hard luck to our girls Feile team who lost out yesterday to Curry.
Well done to Sligo hurlers who had a great win against Lancashire yesterday in Markievicz park.
Last night our Junior A team took to the field to face Enniscrone/Kilglass in the league . The lads from the seaside played nice football and clocked up handy points from frees and play when our men appeared to make mistakes and were punished for it  leaving the half time score at Enniscrone 9 points and Tourlestrane trailing at 3 points .
After major consultation and sparks flying from the chalk on the blackboard at half time a different more focused green and gold team presented themselves back on the pitch at the start of the second half ! Tidy passing From the backs  through midfield and on to the forwards resulted in us narrowing the gap and scoring some well taken points . The turning point of the game came when keeper Adam Broe after a foul in the small square was punished by a penalty being awarded but on his birthday weekend he celebrated it in style by quietly stepping up to his spot between the posts and saving the penalty to rapturous applause from the Tourlestrane fans !!
Our younger players need to get a mention as they contributed hugely to the game in particular Cathal Flemming on his debut 60 mins scored 2 mighty points, Jon Durkin who scored the goal Adam Broe who saved the penalty and another goal chance in the first half. Final score Tourlestrane 1/10 Enniscrone/Kilglass 11 points (Jon j Durkin 1 goal Cathal Flemming 2 pts Rian Kennedy 5 pts Oisin Kennedy James Curley and Ciaran Walsh 1 pt each )
